Check out the SFPUC’s latest Popular Financial Annual Report for fiscal year 2021.

Every year since 2009, the Government Finance Officers Association has recognized the SFPUC for its Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting. The report provides a snapshot not just of the agency’s financial health, but of the countless contributions of SFPUC employees.

Our latest Popular Annual Financial Report provides examples of how we have continued to serve our customers and community. These include:

  • Ensuring access to high quality water during the pandemic to customers and vulnerable populations using innovative solutions including drink tap stations, temporary manifolds and more.
  • Delivering clean energy with focus on clean energy future of San Francisco, including strides towards 100% renewable energy and absorbing PG&E charges to reduce rates to CleanPowerSF customers by 16%.
  • Protecting public health through wastewater monitoring for SARS-CoV-2 in partnership with research institutions in the Bay Area.
  • Serving communities and supporting financial recovery with COVID-19 vaccination and testing; emergency customer assistance and bill relief programs; supporting financial resilience and recovery; keeping water rates affordable, and more.

Administered by the Government Finance Officers Program, the Popular Annual Financial Reporting Awards Program was established in 1991 to ensure state and local governments develop financial reports that are accessible and understandable to even those who may not have a background in public finance.
